Across the street, the employees at Elise Nicole—the pinnacle of fashion, power, and everything Vanessa wants—glide into their sleek, high-rise office while she drowns in insurance paperwork and passive-aggressive emails from her boss.
And then there’s Damon Weiz, the CEO making headlines for all the wrong (and sometimes right) reasons. Recently promoted after a PR disaster, he’s now searching for fresh talent to shake things up at Elise Nicole.
Vanessa watches from her café window, sipping her coffee, wondering:
